(Cauffiel) Horner, 89, Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Boswell, died Aug. 16, 2000, at her home in Raleigh. Born Dec. 8, 1910, in Jenner Township, daughter of Alexander and Lucinda (Rhoads) Cauffiel. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Homer, in 1938; son, Donald, in 1954; daughter, Hazel Colson, in 1984; and brothers: Edward, Norman and Millard. Survived by daughter, Annabelle H., married to John E. Savage Jr., Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren: John E. Savage III, Susan S. O'Rourke and Colin G. Colson; and five great-grandchildren. Sister of: Lester, Pittsburgh; John, Connellsville; Lynn Thomas, Texas; and Ann Blough, Davidsville. Member of Benscreek Evangelical Lutheran Church near Thomas Mills; attended St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boswell, where she was a member of Knotty Ladies of the church. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew's Church, Boswell, with Larry C. Hoover officiating. Interment, St. James Cemetery.
