  HORNER
  
  Mrs. Mary E. Horner, 77, of Stoystown, died Feb. 16 in Memorial Hospital in
  Johnstown.  Born July 30, 1898 in Quemahoning Township, daughter of James
  and Anna (Shaffer) Specht.  Preceded in death by parents and an infant
  brother.  Survived by husband, Howard L., one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ester)
  Croyle of Stoystown; three grandchildren: Mrs. Ronald (Karen) Yoffe, McLean,
  Va., Mrs. Charles (Brenda) Shontonffi, Stoystown RD 2; Douglas, married to
  the former Kathy Sheets, Salix and three great-grandchildren.  Death ends a
  marriage union of 59 years.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of
  Stoystown and Ladies Guild.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Tuesday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown.  Remains
  will be removed to St. Paul's United Church of Christ to lie in state from
  1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Leonard F. Zecchini
  officiating.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery.
