Mr. Horner was a farmer through his active years, remaining on the home farm until his retirement, when he moved to Meyersdale. Horner, recently retired superintendent of schools of Tomaqua, Pa. After death of his second wife, Mr. Horner married Mrs. Maggie (Berkley) Meyers, a widow. To them were born three children, also surviving, who are Mrs. Catherine Bowlby of Rockwood, Meyers B. Horner, superintendent of schools of Washington, Pa., and Galen B. Horner, successful shoe manufacturer, Elizabethtown. Mr. Horner was the proud father of a fine family. He also leaves eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Horner's body was brought to Meyersdale to the Price Funeral Home, where friends were received Saturday and Sunday until noon. At two o'clock, the body was laid in state in the Church of the Brethren ??????. Burial was in Union Cemetery. Among the relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Meyers B.
