  Ruth F. "Sis" Rininger-Horner, 87, of Somerset, formerly of Stoystown, died
  Sept. 5, 2003 at Patriot Manor, Somerset.  Born Feb. 6, 1916 in Kimmelton,
  the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Lohr) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by her
  parents; husbands, Ralph G. Rininger and Theodore E. Horner;
  daughter-in-law Hazel M. (Uphouse) Rininger; great-granddaughter Angela S.
  Weigle; brothers, Nevin, Chester, Ernest, Merle, William, Bert and Ray;
  sisters, Marion Phillips, Elizabeth Constable and Irene Herwig.  Survived
  by a son, Ray Rininger and wife Edna Jean, Akron, Ohio; daughter, Janet
  married to Clyde Davis, Somerset; grandchildren, Robert, Randy and William
  Rininger, Pam (Davis) Colflesh, Donna (Davis) Swaner and Gail (Davis)
  Robertson; great-grandchildren, Heather (Weigle) Snyder, Matt, Jarod and
  Danny Colflesh, Brandon and Courtney Lohr, Joshua Boozer, Colin Robertson,
  Deena, Robbie Brittany and Hunter Rininger.  Sister of Lewis Shaffer and
  Margaret Spangler, both of Somerset, and Charles Shaffer, Friedens. 
  Longtime employee of Gateway and L&N restaurants, Somerset.  Member of
  Mostoller United Methodist Church, Kimmelton, and was known for her Texas
  sheet cake.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, and viewing from 10 a.m. until time of
  service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Mostoller United Methodist Church.  Rev.
  Thomas V. Chacko and Rev. Wilma Horner officiating.  Interment, church
  cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Mostoller United
  Methodist Church, Stoystown, Pa. 15563.
