A native of Acme, he had resided in the Augusta area since moving from Ft. Myers, Fla. approximately 10 years ago. He is the son of the late, Joseph P. and Edith P. Horner of Connellsville. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Kindberg, who passed away on July 12, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy E. Horner, Martinez, Ga.; two sons, Thomas Wilson Horner, Jr., Connecticut, Terry Horner, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Peggy McClintock, Dr. Pamela Horner, both of Augusta; son-in-law, Timothy Kindberg, Martinez; 10 grandchildren: Daniel Phillips, Martinez; David Phillips, North Carolina; Gillian Mothershead, Maryland; Jeffrey Robertson, Stefani Robertson, both of Texas; Timothy Kindberg, Amber Kindberg, both of Martinez; Thomas Wilson Horner III, Christine Horner, Rebecca Horner, all of Maine; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Horner had retired from the Robert R. Reynolds Co., of Tuscaloosa, Ala., as a Superintendent, having worked in Industrial Construction throughout the United States. He was a World War II, U.S. Naval Veteran, a member of the Carpenter's Local 2774, Pittsburgh, was a Methodist by faith and had attended Marvin United Methodist Church, Martinez, Ga. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 6, 2003, in the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, with Chaplain Neil Breland, officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Ga. 30904.
