(Kauffman) Horner, 60, of Saylor School Road, Hollsopple RD, died June 8, 2002 at home. Born Oct. 27, 1941 in Conemaugh Twp., daughter of Leon W. and Edna P. (Alwine) Kauffman. Preceded in death by father and father-in-law Harry L. Horner. Survived by mother, Hollsopple RD; husband of 43 years, Jack C.; children: Timothy L. Hollsopple RD, Dr. Barry E. married to Rose (DeLaPena) Niceville, Fla. and Christine N., married to Steven "Mick" Jordan, Lehman Acres, Jerome; and grandchildren Travis, Jamie, Jennifer, and Nathan Horner and Dana and Eric Jordan. Sister of Wayne, married to Carol Fetterman, Hollsopple RD, Norma, married to Arthur Thomas Jr., Canfield, Ohio, Leland, married to Barbara Gary, Boswell RD, Ilene, married to Jeff Beabes, Lehman Acres, and Robbie, married to Jackie Allison, Bon Air. Also survived by mother-in-law, Elvera Horner, Richland; sisters-in-law, Betty (Horner), married to Glenn Smith and Doris (Horner), married to Edmund Horner; brothers-in-law Duane, Donald and James Horner and Thomas Horner, married to Celine Hoffman; 19 nieces, 28 nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. A 1959 graduate of Conemaugh Twp. Area High School. Retired employee of medical records department of Memorial Medical Center with 20 years service. Enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding and tending to her flowers. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, whom she affectionately encouraged and treasured, loving the time spent with each of them. Was an active member of the Centennial United Methodist Church where she had been a choir member, children and youth coordinator, trustee, and served in numerous other capacities. Also member of the United Methodist Women. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Centennial Church near the North Fork Dam. The Rev. William Schmeling and the Rev. Dec Fontana officiating. Interment Thomas Mennonite Cemetery, Thomas Mills. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 168 West Union Street, Somerset, Pa., 15501, or the memorial fund established in Wanda's name c/o the Centennial United Methodist Church, 426 North Fork Road, Johnstown Pa., 15905.
