Hornig, 45, of Twinsburg, Ohio, died November 23, 1981 in the Bedford Hospital, Bedford, Ohio. Born June 18, 1936, in Meyersdale, he was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Grace M. Hornig and a sister Rhea C. Burt. Survived by his wife, Frances L. and daughter, Charlene F.; stepchildren: Ronald, Joseph, Toni and Sondra Jakubowski and Kathy Holiday; brother of Herbert C., John J., James S. and Yvonne James, all of Meyersdale; Alice Firey, LaVale, Md.; William H., Romulus, Michigan and Ada Belle Saylor, Newport News, Va. He was employed by Ford Motor Company for 25 years and served in the U.S. Army from 1958-60. He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Prokop Valley Lodge, the Salon VFW Post No. 1863. He was an active member of the National Rifle Assn. and a trustee of the U.A.W. Local No. 420, Ford Motor Co., also a member of the Northfield Moose No. 2156, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted November 25, 1981 by the Rev. Father Donald Snyder at the Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, Northfield Center, Ohio. Interment All Saints Cemetery. The Republic, December 3, 1981 [H1610]
