  HORNIG
  
    James Samuel "Sam" Hornig, 63, of Meyersdale, died Jan. 1, 1996, at his
  home.  Born June 23, 1932, in Meyersdale, a son of the late William E. and
  Grace "Madge" (Reynolds) Hornig.  Also preceded in death by two brothers,
  Charles and Herbert, and a sister, Rhea Burt.  Survived by these children:
  Samuel K. Hornig, Shawn Hornig, and Trish Fogle, all of Meyersdale; Kym
  Hornig, Nahant, Mass., and Shannon Hornig, Julian, Pa.  Three
  grandchildren: Holli and Doni Fogel, and Kolbi Hornig.  A brother of
  William Harold Hornig, Romulus, Mich.; John "Jake" Hornig and Yvonne James,
  both of Meyersdale; Alice Firey, LaVale, Md., and Ada B. Saylor, Newport
  News, Va.  U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  Member of American Legion
  Post 112, and B.P.O.E. Lodge 1951.  Past member of the Meyersdale Volunteer
  Fire Department and Meyersdale Jaycees.  Friends will be received from 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service
  will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Pastor Robert Stahl
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
