He was aged 78 years, 1 month and 11 days at the time of his death. He was born in Berlin, Germany, May 6, 1869, and came to this county many years ago. He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Seggie) Hornig, two sons, William E., Meyersdale, and Paul, Wilkinsburg, four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Holland, Akron; Mrs. Agnes Mann, Wilkinsburg; Mrs. Margaret Tyhurst, Finleyville, and Mrs. Beatrice Wright, Wilkinsburg; also by 21 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. W. C. Price brought the body to Meyersdale on Tuesday to prepare for burial at the Price Funeral Home, where friends will be received from Wednesday evening until Friday morning when services will be held there at 10:30 o'clock, with Rev. H. K. Hilner officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, June 19, 1947
