Horning, 77, North Fort Myers, formerly of Red Lion RD 2, died Feb. 4, 1982 at Cape Coral Hospital, Florida. He was born in Meyersdale and was a son of the late Richard and Ida (Schumick) Horning. He was the husband of Cora E. (Ross) Horning. He had resided in North Fort Myers for the past three years and was a woodworker, retired in 1966 from Hellam Furniture Co. He is survived by a son, Stanley L. Horning, of Dallastown; a daughter Mrs. Judith James, Red Lion; four brothers: George, Berlin; James, Cape Coral; John and Clarence, both of Meyersdale. Also a sister, Mrs. Mary Tatterelli, North Fort Myers, Fla. and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. John's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Thomas M. Burns Jr. officiating. Interment, Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., Dallastown, were in charge of arrangements. The Republic, February 18, 1982 [H1614]
