  LEIGHTON G. HORNING
  
    Leighton G. Horning, 64, 143 Dark Shade Drive, Windber, died Aug. 26,
  1985, at home.
    He was born Oct. 14, 1920, in Prescott, Mich., son of John and LouEtta
  (Fisher) Horning.  He was preceded in death by parents, and sisters,
  Pauline, Ruth and Margie.
    He is survived by widow, former Edna Shaffer, and these children: Bruce,
  married to former Phyllis Roudabush, Huntingdon; Charles, married to former
  Eileen Knepper, Berlin; and Mary, wife of Michael Weyant II, Windber; also
  grandchildren: Brad, Brandy and Luke Austin Horning, and Ethny and Michael
  Jared Weyant.  He was a brother of Raymond, Erma Miller and Lota Mae
  Provoast, all of Prescott, Mich.
    He was a member of the Berkey Church of the Brethren.
    Friends were received at Meek Funeral Home, Inc., Windber, where brief
  service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by funeral service at
  2 p.m. at Berkey Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Earl Crissman. 
  Interment, Berkey Cemetery.
