Born Feb. 23, 1922 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Anna P. (Ginevan) Brady. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clark Richard Horning. Surviving are one son, Rodney Horning and wife Barbara; a sister, Geraldine Ward and husband Philip, all of Cumberland, a son grandson [sic] Roan, Baltimore, Md., and one granddaughter, Nolana and Ken Salen, Reston. While in Cumberland, Mrs. Horning was employed at the meat department at the local A&P. She was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, associated with the 94th Infantry Division, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles, Allegheny Region Post 4440, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cumberland Aerie #254 FOE, and very active in the Fort Hill High School Class of 1940. Family and family [sic] will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, PA, 108 Virginia Avenue, where a memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday. At Mrs. Horning's request, she will be cremated. The family requests that her friends make contributions to their favorite charity. Daily American, June 17, 2000 [H1627]
