  RICHARD EDWARD (ED) HORNING
  
    Richard Edward "Ed" Horning, 83, Meyersdale, died March 25, 1980, in
  Frostburg Community Hospital, Frostburg, Md.
    He was born Aug. 13, 1896, in Meyersdale, and was a son of the late
  Richard and Ida Mae Shumaker.  He was also preceded in death by his wife,
  the former Daryl Saler and 2 sons, Clark R. and Dale.
    He is survived by these children: Donald L., Meyersdale; Duane S.,
  Salisbury; Bradley and Mrs. Loretta Landsman, both of Cumberland, Md.;
  Robert, Pearce, Ariz.; Mrs. Carol Sawyer, Albuquerque, N. Mex.; Mrs.
  Deloris Reinsel, Alexandria, Va.; 23 grandchildren and 21
  great-grandchildren.  He was the brother of Clarence and John, both of
  Meyersdale; George and Harry, both of Berlin; James, Cape Coral, Fla.; and
  Mrs. Mary Tatterilli, Ft. Myers, Fla.  He was a member of Amity United
  Church of Christ, Meyersdale.
    Friends were received at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale,
  where service will be held with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating. 
  Interment, Union Cemetery.
