All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ JOSEPH HORVATH One is Killed Four May Die Six Young Men on Way to Bedford Fair Collide with Hay Wagon Joseph Horvath, 17, of Stonycreek Township, was killed instantly, and four of his companions were so badly injured that little hope is entertained for their recovery, Wednesday night when a small roadster in which they were driving crashed into a hay wagon. In the collision the automobile overturned and five of its six occupants were pinned under the car. The sixth was thrown clear of the wreckage and escaped with minor bruises. The injured, four of whom are patients at Community Hospital, Somerset, are as follows: Paul Reiman, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob B. Reiman, of Berlin, R.D., fracture of the skull and probable internal injuries; in critical condition. Jonas Saylor, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Saylor, of Berlin, R.D. No. 2, concussion of the brain, fracture of the cheek bone, fracture of the nose and lacerations of the head; in critical condition. Kenneth Mimna, 18, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mimna, of Stonycreek Township, fracture of the jaw, fracture of the nose, injuries to the back, lacerations and abrasions of the head and body; in critical condition. John Yonai, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Yonai, of Stonycreek Township, driver of the car, probable fracture of the back, crushed nose, severe lacerations of the head and body; in critical condition. Frank Yonai, 15, brother of John Yonai, crushed left hand and contusions of the head and shoulder; discharged after being treated at the Community Hospital. Meyersdale Republican, September 10, 1931
