Hosken, 88, of Berlin, died May 11, 1996, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Feb. 5, 1908, in Garrett. Son of John W. and Victoria (Harding) Hosken. Precede in death by parents; wife, the former Catherine Jane Landis; infant son, Charles Ray; sisters: Cora Sechler and Orpha Baker; brother, Francis and infant brother, Walter. Survived by sisters and brothers-in-law: Stell M. Hosken, Phoebe L. Hosselton, Ruth L. Kammer, Rev. Ralph G. Landis and Guy and Geraldine Raupach and friend Marie Leazier; also numerous nieces and nephews. Member of United Mine Workers of America. Worked for state Department of Highways and retired from Somerset County court operations. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Ralph G. Landis. Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
