L. Hostetler and a former resident of Confluence, died last Thursday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Kooser of near Scottdale after a lingering illness. She was born in Confluence, March 21, 1875, a daughter of the late Alvin and Emma Bowlin Burnworth, and was a member of the Methodist church of that town. With the exception of eight years in Somerset, virtually all her life was spent in Confluence. Since the death of her husband, she had made her home with her son-in-law and daughter. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Rachel Kooser, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Eva Watson of South Connellsville, a brother, J. P. Burnworth of Connellsville, two step-children, Mrs. Margaret Grow and Flemming Hostetler of Point Marion and two grandchildren, Richard and Harry Kooser. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Sunday at the McCormick Funeral Home in Connellsville, followed by additional rites between 3:30 and 4 p.m., at Johnson Chapel near Confluence. Rev. J. F.
