Born Aug. 29, 1929, he is the son of the late Markel and Katie (Mundy) Hostetler. He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Clyde Snyder; and brother, Charles Hostetler. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Norma (Snyder) Hostetler; children, Kay LaMont, Terry Hostetler and Eddie Hostetler, all of Charlotte, N.C.; mother-in-law, Geraldine Snyder, Rockwood; brothers and sisters, David Hostetler and Donna Adams, both of Charlotte; Hazel Babler, Springfield, Va.; Conrad Hostetler, Ocala, Fla.; and Danny Hostetler of Houston; brother-in-law, Lester Snyder, Rockwood; and a caring and loving extended family, the Knieriem family of Somerset. He was a retired employee of Snyder Potato Chips of Berlin and is a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He worked with the Mountain Mover Youth Group at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic in Somerset. Friends will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic, 141 Forward Blvd., Somerset, where a service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Bishop Irvin Knieriem officiating. Interment at Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Military Honors accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be sent to "In Touch" Hospice.
