Hostetler, 81, of Champion RD 1, died April 5, 1984, Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 23, 1903, in Middlecreek Township, son of the late Wesley and Carrie (Blough) Hostetler. Survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Irene Mognet; one daughter, Mrs. Judy Zettle, East Palestine, Ohio; two grandchildren, Diane and Daniel. Former employee of the Somerset County Prothonotary's Office. A public school teacher, he was justice of the peace for 25 years in Middlecreek Township and was active in local Republican politics for 60 years. He was a graduate of Indiana Normal School and taught school in Middlecreek Township for many years. Member of the Center Church of the Brethren. Friends were received Friday evening and will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kermit L.
