Hostetler, 48, died Dec. 17, 1981 in Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit, Cumberland, Md. A native of Garrett, he was a son of Mrs. Ocy V. (Pritts) Hostetler, and the late Frank A. Hostetler. An employee of M. Knect and Sons Foundry, he was a waterway patrolman for the Pennsylvania Fish Commission, a veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury Lions Club, VFW, American Legion, Meyersdale LOOM 76 and Hopwood Amvets. He served on the Salisbury Borough Council. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Helen (Clautter) Hostetler; a son, William E. Hostetler, Salisbury; a daughter, Mrs. Anita Hersh, Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Donald H. Hostetler and Paul A. Hostetler, both of Salisbury and two grandchildren. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, where services were conducted with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment in Salisbury Cemetery. The Republic, December 24, 1981 [H1680]
