Hostetler, 88, of Berlin, died April 18, 2001, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born Sept. 7, 1912, in Macdonaldton, he was the son of John and Sarah (Ackerman) Hostetler. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard and a sister Myrtle Wagner. He is survived by five nieces and nephews. He was a retired crane operator for the Edgar Thompson Works of U.S. Steel in McKeesport and worked for the Civil Conservation Corps during the depression. He was a member of the Berlin American Legion and a Navy veteran of World War II. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, with Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of one's choice. Interment with military honors provided by the Berlin American Legion & VFW in the Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
