Hostetler Sr., 83, of Meyersdale died Jan. 20, 2002 at his home. Born May 25, 1918 in Meyersdale. A son of the late James B. and Florence (Middleton) Hostetler. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Frances B. Bracken; and a brother, Alex G. Hostetler. Survived by four children: Margaret A. Hostetler, West Salisbury; Amelia J. Vidonish, Uniontown; James M. Hostetler Jr., Steubenville, Ohio; and Lisa Bracken Hostetler, Little Compton, R.I. Also 11 grandchildren. Retired from Pa. Dept. of Welfare with more than 30 years of service. Jim was also an investment adviser, and was developer of Deer Valley Lake. A member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 1951 Meyersdale, Highpoint Snowmobile Club, and was a former member and leader of the Kelley Corps, Meyersdale. He was an avid golfer and member of Piney Run Golf Course. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. A graveside service will be conducted at noon Wednesday at the Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
