Hostetler, 88, of Kennett Square, passed away on Feb. 14, 2003 at Linden Hall in Kennett Square. He was preceded in death by his wives Jean Houck who died in 1998, Grace Bateman who died in 1991 and Margaret who died in 1938. Born in Somerset County, he was the son of the late Isaac J. and Barbara A. Thomas Hostetler. He is survived by three sons, Donald Hostetler, Gary Hostetler both of Kennett Square, Ricky Hostetler of Oxford; three step-sons, Paul D. Bateman of Central City, Leroy Houck of Kennett Square, Marvin Houck of Kentucky; two daughters, Janice Madonna of Kennett Square, Lorraine Skelton, of Coatesville; two stepdaughters, Carole Black of Rising Sun, Md., Helen Perigo of Kennett Square; 30 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lester, Merle and Glendon Hostetler. He was a lab technician for duPont of Newark, Del. Haskell Lab, retiring in 1979 after 23 years of service. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Stuart, Fla. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Stuart, Fla. He was a very active member of the Leisure Village Home Owners Association, serving on the board of directors and as vice president. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed building dollhouses and playing pinochle. Family and friends may attend Kenneth's life celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kuzo & Gofus Funeral Home Ltd., Meredith and State Streets, Kennett Square, Pa. and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Kennett Square, Garfield and State Streets, Kennett Square. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, 424 North Union Street, Kennett Square.
