Hostetler, 63, of Hollsopple RD 1, died Feb. 25, 1989, at Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1926, in Richland Township. He was the son of Melvin and Hulda (Mills) Hostetler. Preceded in death by parents and one brother, Earl. Survived by: wife the former Mary Wingard; and these children: Rebecca, wife of Leonard Lichvar, Stoystown RD 1; Ruth and Calvin both at home; Rachel, wife of Scott Mostoller, Jerome; 2 granddaughters: Laurel Leigh Lichvar and Maggie Mae Mostoller. He was a brother of: Glen, married to the former Thelma Stevens, Hollsopple RD 2; Nola, wife of Marlin Mishler, Hollsopple RD 1. Loving husband, father and grandfather. Member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, the Willing Workers Sunday School class, Somerset County Farmers Association and lifetime farmer. He was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Death breaks marriage union of 33 years. Family receiving friends 2-4 and 7-9 Monday at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. Services will be Tuesday at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, where remains will lie in state from noon until time of service at 1 p.m., the Rev. Beverly Good officiating.
