Hostetler, 90, of Jones Mills, Pa., died March 16, 1981, in the Frick Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born April 14, 1890, in Saltlick Township, Fayette County, a daughter of the late John and Rebecca (Tannehill) Tinkey. She had lived in the Jones Mills area most of her life where she and her husband served as caretakers of the Big Springs Farm Estate for over 42 years until their retirement in 1958. She was a member of the Indian Head Church of God. She is survived by three daughters: Evelyn H. Miller and Mrs. Arlene Stull, both of Jones Mills; Mrs. Daniel (Jean) Woy, of Somerset; two sons: Kenneth of Jones Mills; and Denny, Somerset RD 4; 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd C., in 1972; two daughters, Isabel and Mrs. Orpha Geary; one son, Frank Willard; a grandchild and a great-grandchild; four brothers: Joseph, Judson, Homer, and John; and five sisters: Mrs. Carrie Nedrow, Mrs. Nettie Hess, Mrs. Maggie Pritts, Mrs. Lily Nedrow and Edna Brown. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) and from 10 to 9 Wednesday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc. on Route 711 at Melcroft where services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. G. Marion Smith and the Rev. Kermit Jones officiating. Interment, Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Daily American, March 17, 1981 [H1735]
