  HOUPT
  
  Clyde Houpt, 75, of Somerset died Nov. 9, 1978, in Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born Oct. 29, 1903 in Somerset, a son of John and Nora
  (Foust) Houpt.  Preceded in death by his widow, the former Elizabeth
  Smith.  Survived by a daughter, Betty Jean of Somerset.  He was a
  brother of George, East Orwell, Ohio; and Mrs. Lenore Fisher of
  Scottdale, Pa.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,
  Somerset.  He worked for the Pennsylvania Department of
  Transportation, was a retired employee of Somerset Borough and was
  employed by Bruckman Olds.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Friday (today) in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where
  services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. H. James
  Meyers officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
