  HOUPT
  
  Mrs. Elizabeth Houpt, 74, of Somerset died Jan. 14, 1974, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born in Berlin, on Nov. 26, 1899, a daughter of
  the late William A. and Alice (Muhlenberg) Smith.  Preceded in death
  by two brothers.  Survived by her husband, Clyde; and a daughter,
  Betty Jean of Somerset.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran
  Church.  Friends received after 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Richard E.
  Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Thursday at
  1:30 p.m., the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
