LOCAL AND PERSONAL.

  Frank Houpt, of Somerset, after having worked all day on Saturday a 
week ago, feeling bibulously inclined started out and purchased a quart 
of alcohol, half of which he drank.  Becoming very drunk his friends 
laid him in an alley near his home to sleep off his potations, and when 
they returned in a couple of hours they found the poor creature in the 
sleep of death, he having died during their absence from the effects of 
the liquor.
