  Robert P. Houpt, 72, Somerset RD 5, died Nov. 19, 1987, Memorial Hospital
  of Bedford County.  He was born July 19, 1915, in Somerset, a son of the
  late Robert and Grace (Pifer) Houpt.  He was preceded in death by parents;
  and his wife, the former Alice Durst, in 1978.  Survived by these children:
  Connie, wife of Clifford Dunmyer, Somerset RD 5; Milton Robert and Edward,
  both of Somerset; Donald, Friedens RD 2; and Jay Earl, Cleveland, Ohio;
  also, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Sarah Jane
  Creery, Somerset; Gladys Buchholz, Lorain, Ohio; Dorothy, wife of Charles
  Brant, Somerset; and Jay of Rockwood.  He was a member of the First
  Christian Church, Somerset; and retired from Somerset Foundry; member of
  Oriental Iron Workers, Local 527, Pittsburgh; and F.O.E. 1801, Somerset;
  and charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Somerset.  Friends will be
  received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home
  where service will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Roy
  Worsham officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
