  WARD HENRY HOUPT 
  
  Ward Henry Houpt, Somerset, 82, died Dec. 14, 2004, at The Patriot.  Born
  Sept. 17, 1922, in Somerset, he is the son of the late Ward and Margaret
  (Beal) Houpt Sr.  Survived by his wife, Wilma (Miller) Houpt; children, Gwen
  Stein, Fergus Falls, Minn., Janice Brubaker, Houston, Texas, and Kevin
  Houpt, Newville.  Also seven grandchildren and a brother Glenn Houpt,
  Mifflinburg.  Mr. Houpt served in World War II with the 708th Amphibious
  Tank Batalion.  He was a member of Somerset Masonic Lodge 358 F&AM, Somerset
  Fire Department and the 55 and over speeders.  He was retired from the
  Pennsylvania Turnpike.  Private services and interment will be held at the
  convenience of the family.  Arrangements under the direction of the Robert
  H. Halverson Funeral Home.
