House Sr., 65, of Frostburg, Md., died Friday, Jan. 16, 1987, in Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va. Born in Oldtown, Md., he was the son of Joseph Martin and Madge (Cook) House. He was a former iron worker with Local 568. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Farraday Post 24, American Legion. Surviving are his widow, Betty (Skidmore) House; one son, Steven H. House, Addison; three daughters, Mrs. Sharon J. Garlock, Manassis, [sic] Va.; Mrs. Bonnie S. Fletcher, Herndon, Va., and Mrs. Janie L. Meanyhan, Frostburg, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Hunter and Mrs. Hazel Fagel, both of Frostburg; Mrs. Peggy Evans, Moorefield, W.Va., and Mrs. Donna Allen, Baltimore, Md.; three brothers, Carl House, Laurinburg, N.C.; Curtis House and George House, both of Omaha, Neb.; several half brothers and sisters; 15 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received in the Sowers Funeral Home where services were conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. Interment, Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Richard McKenzie, Joseph McKenzie, James Lashbaugh, Edward J. House III, John R. Meanyhan and Steven Shane House. The Republic, January 22, 1987 [H1779]
