(Red) House, 91, of West Salisbury, died October 24 in the Cuppett-Weeks Nursing Home in Oakland, Md. Born in West Salisbury, he was the son of the late William and Ada Garlitz House. His wife, Violet Short, preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of West Salisbury. Surviving are a son, John William House, Denver, Colo.; five daughters, Mrs. Katherine Deal, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Bertha Laurie, Eckhart, Md.; Mrs. Freda Walker, Salisbury; Mrs. Helen Walker, Hanover, Md.; Mrs. Leoda Peters, Cambridge Springs, Pa. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A mass of the resurrection was conducted at St. Michael's Church last Saturday morning, the Rev. Raymond E. Karr officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery in charge of the Thomas Funeral Home. Meyersdale Republican, November 1, 1973 [H1780]
