Born June 1, 1919, in Finzel, Md., son of the late John and Alberta (Finzel) Housel. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Hattie Wilt, two brothers and one sister. Survived by two sons, Stanley R. and Randy L., both of Salisbury; two daugthers: Mrs. Alcy Hedrick of Wiley Ford, W.Va.; and Miss Lisa A. Housel, at home; 5 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Also two brothers, Paul and Robert, both of Salisbury; and four sisters: Mrs. Pauline Norris, Meyersdale; Mrs. Dorothy Dimond and Mrs. Rachel Durst, both of Grantsville; and Mrs. Mary Durst of Salisbury. Retired employee of the Champion Pipe Products Company at Boynton. Member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury. Veteran of World War II. Member of Salisbury VFW and the Salisbury American Legion. Friends will be received Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
