  HOWARD
  
    Earl W. Howard, 68, Somerset RD 7, died March 28, 1988, in the
  Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 19, 1919, in Somerset, son of
  the late John Wesley and Jennie Catherine (Weller) Howard. Also
  preceded in death by brother, Truman. Survived by wife, the former
  Judith Ann Carlson, and sons: Kenneth E., Somerset RD 7; and Edward
  J., Somerset RD 4; also grandson, Brett. Brother of Paul W., Somerset
  RD 7; George R., Somerset RD 6; and Mrs. Harry (Elsie) Weller,
  Somerset. Retired from Johnstown Works U.S. Steel with 34 years of
  service. Attended the Somerset Church of the Nazarene. Member of USWA
  Local 1288. Friends were received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, with the
  Rev. Charles P. Williams officiating. Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park. Family suggest contributions to W. Pa. Chapter of
  American Heart Assoc., Broad Street, Johnstown, PA. 15901.
