  HOWARD
  
    Elizabeth P. Howard, 69, Markleton died April 11, 2000 at Somerset
  Hospital. Born Sept. 23, 1930 in Cayuga Co. N.Y. She was the daughter
  of John H. and Elizabeth Harley of Moravia, N.Y. She married Duane E.
  Howard Aug. 26, 1950. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents
  and a sister Rosemary Bumpas. She is survived by her husband Duane,
  five children, 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a
  niece. Her children are Dale Howard of Westminster, Md., and his
  children, Barry C., Brian and April; Roger Howard of Baltimore, Md.,
  and his children Austin, Aaron, Bridgette and Sarah; Robin (Mrs.
  Peter) Hughes of Chesapeake City, Md., and her children Jeremy and
  Adam; Barry D. Howard and his children Russell and Bonnie; Julie
  (Mrs. Matthew) Johnson and her children, Rosemary, Amanda and Lydia;
  and a niece Dr. Carolyn Leech and her children Alan, Amy, William and
  Julia. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kingwood IOOF
  Cemetery with a 4 p.m. gathering at Oakhurst Tea Room. Friends and
  family are invited to attend both and share their memories of Bettie.
  Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. In lieu of flowers,
  contributions can be sent to the Somerset County Literacy Council,
  c/o Somerset Technology Center, 281 Vo-Tech Rd., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
