   Paul W. Howard, 89, Somerset, died July 28, 2007, at The Patriot. Born May 30, 1918, in
  Somerset Township, son of the late John W. and Jennie C. (Weller) Howard. Also preceded in
  death by his wife, Corrine (Kelly) Howard; daughter, Ruth C. Trent; son, Harold W. Howard
  and brothers, Truman, Earl and George. Survived by children, Mrs. George (Jean) Barron,
  Somerset; Mrs. Tom (Lois) Shields, Corsica and the Rev. Roger Howard, married to the
  former Lois Bumbarger, Uniontown; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
  Brother of Elsie Weller, Somerset, and a friend of Viola Williams, Somerset. Retired from
  U.S. Steel with 36 years of service. Member of First United Methodist Church and the IOOF.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dale
  Shunk officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made
  to the First United Methodist Church, 149 W. Patriot St., Somerset, PA 15501.
