  CARRIE E. HOWELL
  
    Carrie Evelyn Howell, 71, Terra Alta, W. Va., died Thursday, June
  22, 1989, at Heartland of Preston County, Kingwood, W. Va.
    Born May 3, 1918, in Grantsville, Md., she was the daughter of the
  late Truman and Clara (Wilt) Butler.
    She was preceded in death by one daughter and several brothers and
  sisters.
    She was a homemaker.
    Surviving are her husband, Phillip O. Howell; two sons, Raymond W.
  DeWitt and Orval "Buck" DeWitt, both of Oakland, Md.; one daughter,
  Ellen Bolyard, Bellevue, Ohio; one brother, Alonzo Butler,
  Willoughby, Ohio; one sister, Gladys Frazee, Accident, Md.; six
  grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, where
  services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Berlin H.
  Wilhelm. Interment, Terra Alta Cemetery.
