She was the widow of Rev. Francis Howsare, who died four years ago. She was born Sept. 30, 1870, a daughter of Daniel and Catherine (Heffley) Shumaker. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Alvin Baer, Pocahontas; Mrs. Albert Baer, Mrs. Glenn Stephenson, Mrs. Frank Reiner, of Akron, O., and Mrs. Alvey Martz, Glencoe R.D., and five sons - Clarence, John and George, Akron, O.; D. T., Cumberland, Md., and Rev. James S. of Cleveland, O. Eleven grandchildren also survive. The remains were received here, Tuesday, by Price & Son, who had charge of the funeral held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at St. John's Evangelical Church in Larimer Twp., and interment was in the church cemetery.
