HOWSARE DeWitt Talmage Howsare, 69, Meyersdale RD 3, died Nov. 20, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born July 24, 1897, in Meyersdale, he was a son of Francis and Delilah (Shoemaker) Howsare. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Minnie Rembold, in June 1966. He was a brother of Mrs. Alvey Martz, Meyersdale RD 3; Mrs. Albert Baer, John L. and Clarence, all of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Glenn Stephenson, Deltona, Fla.; and Mrs. Frank Reiner, Tallmadge, Ohio. A retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad engineer, with 35 years of service, he was a member of the Veteran Employees Association of the B and O Railroad; the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers; and Amity United Church of Christ, Meyersdale. Service was held in Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, on Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Victor Vogel and Rev. Paul Snyder officiating. Interment was in St. John's (Temple) EUB cemetery, Meyersdale RD 4. Meyersdale Republican, November 24, 1966 [H1848]
