Howsare died Aug. 30, at his home in Akron, Ohio, at the age of 77 years, 1 month, 1 day. His body was brought to Meyersdale on Tuesday, Sept. 1, and lay in state at the Price Funeral Home until Wednesday afternoon when, after a short prayer service, it was removed to the Temple Church in Larimer Township for services at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Mankamyer of Johnstown and Rev. Fuss of Beaver. Interment was made in the church cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price. Rev. Howsare is survived by his wife Della (Shumaker) Howsare, five daughters and six sons: Mrs. Alva Martz, Glencoe; Mrs. Alvin Baer, Meyersdale R.D. 3; Mrs. Glenn Stephenson, Akron, O.; Mrs. Albert Baer, Akron; Mrs. Mary Reiner, Akron; John, Clarence and George of Akron, and James, Wiland and DeWitt, of Connellsville; also by two sisters, Mrs. Malinda Oester, Dayton, and Mrs. Florence Fox, Cumberland; and two brothers, John Howsare, Cumberland, Md., and William Howsare, Pittsburgh.
