Huber, 79, formerly of 509 Center St., Jim Thorpe, died Thursday Dec. 14, 1995 at home of daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne, wife of Ellsworth Flyte, RD 3, Box 320, Somerset. Husband, Harry Richard "Dick" Huber died in 1981. Born Nov. 2, 1916, in East Mauch Chunk, daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryn (Rader) Haggerty. Also preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas, Leo and Joseph and a sister, Margaret Haggerty. Besides her daughter and son-in-law she is survived by two brothers: Gerald Haggerty, Jim Thorpe and Adam Haggerty, South Plainfield, N.J.; one grandson, Richard Flyte and one great-grandson, Michael Flyte and many loving nieces and nephews. Member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe and the Catholic Daughters. Past president of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Nurse Guild and Mauch Chunk Women's Club. Graduate of the former Catholic High School, Jim Thorpe and the Palmerton Hospital School of Nursing class of 1938. Worked for 16 years in the office of the late Dr. James J. Dougherty, Jim Thorpe, supervising nurse at Palmerton Hospital from 1960 to 1969 when she became director of nurses at the Palmerton Hospital until she retired in 1978. After retiring she worked at Dr. Dizon's office on Center St., Jim Thorpe. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, followed by a mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe with the Rev. John G. Hilferty officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Jim Thorpe, call Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials in her name may be sent to "In Touch" Hospice, 651 South Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
