Born April 13, 1925 in Saxton, son of the Nelson Edward and Effie Pearl (May) Huff. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Betty Pauline Beeman who died Feb. 2, 1996; brother, Ronald Huff; and sisters, Doris White and Betty Huff. Survived by children: Mrs. C. Richard (Charlene) Ringer of Rockwood; Harold E. Huff Jr., married to the former Sandy Slayton, Delta; Mrs. Earl Dean (Cathy) Snyder of Somerset RD 1; Christopher R. Huff, married to the former Jill Costea of Chantilly, Va.; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Brother of Gerald G. Huff of Georgetown, Del. Also survived by former wife, Margaret "Maggie" (Keim) Huff-Fike, of Somerset, and very close friend Dorothy Cline of Somerset. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren. Retired insurance representative for Baltimore Life Insurance Co., retiring in 1990. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Received 5 Bronze Stars and the Silver Star. Life member of D.A.V., American Legion Post 181, Somerset V.F.W. Post 554, Laurel Ridge Sportsmen, Moose Lodge #480 of Bedford, and the 88th Infantry Division Association and its Blue Devils. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
