  HUGHES
  
  Robert H. Hughes, 72, of Mantua, N.J. passed away at his home Dec. 24,
  2002.  He was a resident of Meyersdale for 27 years.  Born Jan. 16, 1930 in
  Scranton.  A son of the late William J. and Viola (Mundt) Hughes.  Survived
  by his wife the former Doris M. Willett; and five children: Ronald James
  Hughes, Garden Grove, Calif.; Edward Joseph Hughes, Hagerstown, Md.;
  Patrick Michael Hughes, Meyersdale; Claudia Joyce Thomas, Meyersdale; and
  Brenda Jeanne Quinn, Clarksboro, N.J.  Also 14 grandchildren and three
  great-grandchildren.  A brother of William J. Hughes, New Braunfels, Texas;
  and Carol Cross, Parkersburg, W.Va.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale.  Funeral Mass will
  be 11 a.m. Saturday at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church Meyersdale,
  with Rev. James M. Dugan and the Rev. Alan Thomas celebrants.  Committal
  will follow at SS. Philip and James Cemetery, Meyersdale.
