Hull, 70, Johnstown, died March 3, 1996, at Lee Hospital. Born Jan. 17, 1926 in Mount Pleasant. Son of the late Dean and Marcella (Noss) Hull. Preceded in death by first wife, the former Evelyn McHenry, formerly of Punxsutawney. Survived by wife, the former Patricia Merritt, and these children: Beth, wife of Jeffrey Clark of Glen Burnie, Md., and Dean, married to the former Joni Shaffer of Armagh; stepchildren: Rachel (Dunn), wife of Nunzio Bayush, Johnstown; Kelly (Dunn), wife of Dan Thomas, Johnstown, and Heather (Dunn), wife of Tim Wyant of Rapid City, S.D.; grandchildren: Sarah and Daniel Clark, Jenifer and James Hull, and step-grandchildren: Andy and Courtney Wyant. Member and pastor emeritus of Park Avenue United Methodist Church and formerly served these congregations: Shanksville-Central City EUB, 1956-1961; Hyndman-Grace EUB, 1961-1964; McKeesport-Shoemaker EUB, 1964 to Aug. 31, 1968; Beaverdale United Methodist Church, Aug. 31, 1968 to Jan. 1, 1973; Beaverdale-Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Jan. 1, 1973, to 1974; Armagh-Seward United Methodist Church, 1974-1982, and Park Avenue United Methodist Church from 1982 until retirement in 1988. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Merchant Marines. Volunteer at Windber Hospice. Served on the board of directors at Camp Allegheny. Charter member of the Armagh Lions Club, member and trustee Armagh-East Wheatfield Fire Company and served on various community organizations in Johnstown. 1952 graduate of Otterbein College and received a bachelor of divinity degree from United Theological Seminary in 1956. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, Central Avenue, Johnstown. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
