Humbert, 89, Confluence, died April 7 at his residence. Born in Confluence, July 22, 1884, son of Adam R. and Maria J. Bowlin Humbert. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Irma Flannigan. Survived by these children: Mrs. Betty Baker, Valencia; Mrs. Marjorie Frantz, Confluence; Mrs. Patricia Beggs, Kutztown; and Norton F., Confluence; five grandchildren. Was a licensed mortician and operated a furniture store in Confluence since 1912. He was a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Embalming, Pittsburgh, Class of 1912. Was a member of the Confluence Methodist Church, and a former steward, and served on the board of trustees. Was a member of Somerset Lodge 358, F & AM, Pittsburgh Consistory, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection. A charter member, Confluence Lions Club. Was the oldest living mortician in Somerset County. Was a member of the Somerset County, Pennsylvania and National Funeral Directors Associations. Was vice-president, First National Bank, Confluence. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday in the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery. Masonic rites Monday in the funeral home, by Somerset Lodge 358. The members of Somerset Lodge 358, F. & A.M., will assemble at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, on Monday, April 8, at 8 p.m. for the purpose of conducting Masonic Funeral Service over the remains of our late Brother Charles B.
