Humbert, 68, Confluence, died Feb. 15, 1993, at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown. Born Sept. 7, 1924, in Confluence, a son of the late Charles B. and Erma (Flanigan) Humbert. Survived by his wife, Ruth (Dridy) Humbert; son, Max D. of Confluence; two granddaughters, Diana and Leslie, and three sisters: Betty Baker of Valencia, Marjorie Frantz of Confluence, and Patricia Beggs of Kutztown. A lifelong resident of Confluence. He was a third-generation funeral director who served Confluence and the surrounding area for 43 years. A veteran of World War II. Member of various professional, fraternal, and civic organizations including: Somerset County Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, Confluence United Methodist Church, Somerset Lodge 358, F.&A.M.; Pittsburgh Consistory, Syria Shrine, Confluence Lions Club, Confluence Volunteer Fire Department, Ursina American Legion Post 946, Board of Directors, Yough Housing Inc., and Board of Directors, Addison Cemetery Association. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Confluence United Methodist Church, with Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery.
