Humbert, 55, of Rockwood RD 1, died July 19, 1981, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born May 29, 1926, in Black Township, son of the late Edward and Dora (Baker) Humbert. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Virgil and Glenn. He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Jane Spencer, four children: Sandra L. Heining of Somerset; Mrs. Frank (Sharon) McClemens of Stoystown RD 3; Susan Beckner of Venice, Fla.; and Edward W., married to Patty Pring, Warren, also nine grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Catherine Walters, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Helen Rice of Cumberland, Md.; Alice Critchfield, and Mildred Ferrell, both of Somerset; Leona Long of Tampa, Fla.; Peggy Dunmyer of Richmond, Va.; Zola Clark of Norfolk, Va.; Gene, and Jim Humbert of Somerset. He was a veteran of U.S. Army of World War II having served in the infantry; member of VFW and Somerset FOE. Friends were received at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. James Vandervort officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, friends are requested to make donations to the Laurel Highlands Heart Fund. The Republic, July 23, 1981 [H1921]
