  MRS. GEORGE M. HUMMEL
  
    Mrs. Emma Louvena Hummel, 89, of Grantsville RD 2, died Sept. 17, 1978 in
  Frostburg Community Hospital.
    Born at New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Helena
  (Otto) Warnick.  Mrs. Hummel was twice married and both her husbands, Henry
  W. Hummel and George M. Hummel, preceded her in death.
    She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, New Germany.
    Surviving are two sons, Harry W. Hummel, of Grantsville, and Garland A.
  Hummel, Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren and eight
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home.
    Services were conducted at Trinity United Church of Christ by the Rev.
  Ernest Rumbaugh.  Interment was in the church cemetery.
    The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity United Church of Christ
  Memorial Fund.
