  HUMMEL
  
    Margaret Laura Hummel, 75, of Friedens died Jan. 19, 1997, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Sept. 2, 1921, in Riverside, N.J.  Daughter of Allen and
  Louise Sykes.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Kenneth William Sr.,
  a brother and a sister.  Survived by these children: Samuel Porto, married
  to the former Kathy Vetter, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Richard (Toni) Wainwright,
  Fort Myers, Fla.; Allen Porto, married to the former Christine Cunningham,
  and Kenneth Hummel Jr., both of Acworth, Ga., and Mrs. Roger (Penni)
  Leasock, Friedens.  20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.  Sister of
  Marian Provenzano, Riverside, N.J.  Attended Laurel Hill Gospel
  Tabernacle.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Tuesday, Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
