Mrs. Hummel was the daughter of the late Henry Turner and Mrs. Mollie Frost Turner, of Baltimore, and was born near Avilton. Surviving are her husband, three daughters - Mrs. Allen Fresh, Mrs. Robert N. Davis and Miss Almira Hummel, in training at the Allegany Hospital school of nursing, in Cumberland - two sons, Aviation Cadet, Henry J. Hummel, in training in Texas, and Ralph, at home - three grandchildren - Winnie Ray and Sarah E. Fresh and Bobbie Jane Davis - two sisters - Mrs. Guy Stanton, Grantsville and Mrs. Bayard McKenzie - and two brothers - Silas Turner, of Avilton and Thomas Turner of Frostburg. Mrs. Hummel was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. Funeral services were held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Grantsville, Thursday morning, at 10 o'clock, Rev. Father David officiated. Interment in Mt. Zion Methodist Church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, December 21, 1944
