Hunter, 83, of Confluence, died Nov. 1, 1978 at home. Born March 13, 1895, in Somerfield, a son of the late Phillip and Lottie (Barkley) Hunter. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Smith; and two sons, Harry D. of Fairchance and William D. of Boston, Mass.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Mrs. Mabel Hall of Boswell; Mrs. Opal Kullmann of Philadelphia; Mrs. Alice Grant, Somerset County Home for the Aged; and Mrs. Helen Cuppett of Confluence. He was a veteran of World War I. Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where funeral services were held with the Rev. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery.
